Static Stretching

Stretching is one area of exercise that is extremely underestimated!

Regular stretching increases flexibility and range of motion!

World Champion, Kerrie Meares takes you through 8 foundation static stretches to improve your flexibility and prevent injuries. Kerrie has personally selected a range of stretches specific for cyclists to include into the warm down or general training regime.

Static stretching is more beneficial when done after exercising whilst sittining or standing still whilst you hold a stretch for about 20-30 seconds.

Whilst completing these static stretches, it is important to increase the circulation to the tired muscles and release any tension that may have built up so finding a place to sit and relax and focus on stretches will give you the best session outcome.
